Roblin District Community Foundation

Mission Statement:

It shall be the goal of the Roblin District Community Foundation to contribute funds to the betterment of all aspects of our Community's life.

About the Foundation:

Provides a wonderful chance for each of us to invest in our own community's future. Is permanent, yet flexible, as it can change to meet the evolving needs of our community. Invests the donation that you make, retains the principal and allocates the annual interest or investment income to worthy community projects. You, as a donor, know that your contribution will continue to help others far into the future.

The foundation (as of November 2012) has assets totaling $735 000. Our long range goal is to reach $1 000 000.

The foundation works with all areas of the community. Arts, culture, heritage, community services, education, health, recreation and environment.

How to Participate:

Your gift to the Roblin District Community Foundation is your opportunity to say "Thank you" to the community and the one sure way to benefit future generations. The contributions can be made in several ways:

• A gift or pledge of money.
• A bequest in a will.
• A gift of life insurance by naming the Roblin District Community Foundation as a beneficiary.
• A gift in memory of a relative or friend.
• A multi-year pledge. You make an initial contribution and a commitment to add to the initial donation over a period of years.

Preferably you leave your gift to the general charitable purposes of the Foundation, but you can designate it to a particular field of interest. All gifts qualify as deductions for income tax purposes. (eg. A $1 000 donation saves you approximately $430 in income tax at current Manitoba rates - see your tax consultant for more details.)
