Welcome to the Municipality of Hillsburg-Roblin-Shell River. As a result of the recent amalgamation of the Rural Municipality of Hillsburg, Town of Roblin and Rural Municipality of Shell River, a temporary name was given to us by the Province so that we could move forward with the amalgamation plan for our community of approximately 3,300 people. We are more commonly known as Roblin - Jewel of the Parkland. Stay tuned for the official name change!
Located in West Central Manitoba, Highway #5 and Highway #83 run through our municipality as well as CN Rail. We also own and operate a 3,500' paved airport. We are a very diverse community with our main industries being agriculture, logging, manufacturing and retail. Professional services offered in Roblin include four doctors, two nurse practitioners, a chiropractor, optometrist, a clinic, hospital, personal care home and two seniors' residences. With safety in mind, we have an RCMP detachment and an excellent fire department.
Our recreational facilities include an arena, curling rinks, swimming and kiddies' pool, golf course, ball park, running track, walking trails, etc.
This parkland paradise offers some of the best fishing in Canada for walleye, pike, perch, trout and many other species. Situated between Duck Mountain Provincial Park and Riding Mountain National Park, this area is also great for hunting deer, elk, bear, ducks, geese and upland game birds. Excellent opportunities abound for camping, snowmobiling, quadding, skiing and sightseeing.
No matter what you are looking for, I am sure we have it. Hope to see you soon!
