ROBLIN RECREATION REPORT - APRIL 24, 2018

Pickle ball
One of the fastest growing sports in North America is Pickleball. Pickleball is a paddle sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. We are looking to host an introductory clinic and get some gym time to have a regularly scheduled program time. Those who are interested please contact the Rec. office for more details at 204-937-8251.

Mass registration
This season's Mass Registration will be held on Sunday, May 6 and will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at the arena. The event provides the opportunity to learn what programs are being offered in the community including programs, events and activities to get you and your family registered and moving this spring thru to the summer. There will be registration for swimming lessons, slo-pitch, and more. If you or your organization would like a table at the registration please contact the Rec. Office to reserve your space to promote your organization and programs for the season. Deadline to book a table is April 23. Please call 204-937-8251 to book yours.

Swap it out
As part of the registration on May 6 we will be offering up space in the basement to host an equipment swap. Those wishing to sell, exchange, or give away their gently used sporting equipment can contact the Rec. Office for more details.

Hunter Safety & PAL Courses
The always popular Hunter Safety and PAL Courses are back. We have Hunter Safety Courses booked for May 5 or Sept. 22. Course cost is $60 per person. The PAL course date is set for Sept. 23 and cost is $60 per person. If you would like to register for a course or need more information please call the Rec. Office.
