Watershed Districts

The Assiniboine West Watershed District (AWWD) delivers conservation programs in collaboration with landowners.

In January 2020 the Watershed District Act joined the Lake of the Prairies, Little Saskatchewan River and the Upper Assiniboine River Conservation Districts into what is now known as the Assiniboine West Watershed District.

The AWWD delivers a number of different projects/services which include: Abandoned Wells Sealing, Cover Crop Program, Alternative Watering, Grassed Runway, Livestock Crossing, Gully Stabilization, No-Till Seeder, Pipeline Plow, Watering System Rentals, Riparian Fencing, Shelterbelt Tree Orders, Shelterbelt Planting, Small Watering Storage, Environmental Farm Plan and Survey/Mapping Requests.

Some Eastern areas of the Municipality of Roblin belong to the Inter-Mountain Watershed District. The IMWD offer many of the similar programs including: Abandoned Well Program, Community Tree Program, Cover Crop Program, Forage Seed Program, Livestock Watering Program, Riparian Fencing, Service Equipment Rental, Streambank Stabilization Program, Water Retention Program, Waterway Management Program and Drainage License Review.
